Last but not least, the one day festival in the Schwarzwald Halle Karlsruhe. 2016 Almanac opened the Knock Out 2016 with a strong performance, followed by the power metal band Orden Ogan and the party people from JBO. As the first of the triple headliner, Dirkscheider ignited the hearts of the metalfans. The medieval metal group Saltatio Mortis on the other hand, celebrated their own christmas party, while playing in their hometown. Eisbrecher, the third main act, started with a bang of their money gun, and played a great concert. I was really happy with this rich variety of bands and had a great evening.

The Autumn Moon Festival... I love it, besides it takes place in my hometown. 2016 was the second time, the small Gothic festival opened its doors on the banks of the Weser. We have about four indoor and one outdoor stage. It was a bit cold this year but luckily dry. Attached to the festival is a small Halloween/Gothic/Medieval Market to shop lots of goddies and quite nice food.  My favorite acts this year were Welle Erdball and Apron. Both bands put a great show on stage and the audience celebrated them. So Wacken 2016 is gone,... M'era Luna 2016 as well... I'm back home and still flashed by the last two weeks- beeing a festival guest is nothin g compared to the crazy feeling you get standing before the large Wacken stages with tenthousands of people behind you. Hell yeah, it was fucking amazing.
